Week 18. Bettsie "The Communicator" Miller

Week 18.  Friday, March 22, 2013.

The Hilton Head felons have just gotten more dangerous with the discovery of an accredited public relations professional in its ranks.  One wonders what kind of spin has been put on this group to make them seem more politically correct and socially acceptable.

Bettsie “The Communicator” Miller has a long and varied career in higher education, public relations consulting, environmental causes and her very own non-profit Family Foundation.  However, her disguise as mild mannered artist is not convincing.  Nowhere in the cyber world is there a single work of art by “The Communicator” (at least none were discovered).  We did find a reference to the Studio dei Leoni where the mission statement claims to “expose the student … while also catering to a student’s individual needs, desires and goals”.  The accompanying photo shows a large number of people eating, drinking and “communicating”.  As well, her personal goals seem to be “Dance – play – write – live like a happy adult child”.

These are extremely dangerous activities.  If the public catches wind of this they will all want to join in and then where would the world be.  Please put brush to canvas (or board) and help apprehend this notorious felon.

Week 17 - Kathleen "Dogs" Coy

Week 17.  Friday, March 15, 2013

Beware the Ides of March!  They have come but not yet gone so all things are possible.

Kathleen (Kat) “Dogs” Coy is a felon with a mission.  On Day 230 of a year long vendetta to render all things in paint, “Dogs” has shown a clear preference for, well, dogs.  Her website and blog is littered with canines  immortalized in paint.  Until her momentous meeting with “Quickdraw” Jurick last fall very few humans were victims.  That has changed dramatically.  She has since been depicting her fellow felons as well as vintage mugshots of women we can only assume are role models for all things nefarious.

“Dogs” has been gaining notoriety on the art scene by garnering the top prize at the Edward Hopper House exhibition in New York last year and has ventured into videos (check out UTube).  Is nothing beyond the reach of the sisterhood?

“Dogs” is often seen hiking and biking in the hills and cornfields of Iowa so keep your brushes at the ready and your dogs on a leash (we are not in Kansas any more, Toto).

Week 16. Donna C. "Chickens" Harmon

Week 16.  Friday, March 8, 2013.

This week the search is on for Donna C. “Chickens” Harmon so named because her local cover involves raising exotic chickens.  Her murky past seems to have involved much international travel (most likely for nefarious purposes) before settling in rural Tennessee somewhere near the Smoky Mountains.

One could speculate she has retired from a life of crime EXCEPT … she was seen in the company of “Quickdraw” Jurick and the Hilton Head felons six months ago.  Before that she appeared to be happy capturing chickens and flowers but has since taken to shooting people and immortalizing them in oil.  In fact, she invites viewers “to step into the paintings and imagine that he or she is there”.  (This is very similar to what the spider said to the fly.)  “Chickens” admits to being fascinated with people and beginning to incorporate them into her work.  One shudders to speculate what this really entails.  She must be apprehended before more damage is done so your send your mugs asap!

Week 15 - Chris "The Moniker" Werst

Week 15.  Friday, March 1, 2013

Another long time and well connected member of the Hilton Head felons is on the loose.  Chris “The Moniker” Werst resides in the same city as two other known perps including the nefarious leader “Quickdraw” Jurick and has been observed presenting her with gifts.  (The fact that the shawl was orange, a symbol of luxury and splendor, is highly suspicious.)  We also know she is quite cozy with a member of the international banking branch of the gang, not surprising since she herself is well versed in the global account management world.  With this kind of background one would expect her to drive a Porsche or Ferrari but she has cleverly decided to blend in with the locals by driving a station wagon.  However, do not be fooled by appearances as our intel suggests she is a world traveller.

“The Moniker” is a founding member of the elite splinter group, the Hilton Head 4, and continues to contribute to their rather shady activities.  She has immortalized parrots, puppies, and people from Paris in paint (NB. Actually it was seagulls not parrots but I digress…).  She has been seen combing the beaches in Hilton Head in search of victims and, with the Hilton Head 4, has co-hosted at least one large (and successful) gathering of felonious felons.  This is a dangerous woman indeed!

Week 14 - Cameron "The Shadow" Farley

Week 14.  Friday, February 22

Today’s person of interest is Cameron “The Shadow” Farley who does not appear to exist at least under this alias.  An internet search turned up 17 different individuals in the U.S. with this name including a Cameron Farley who won the Go Kart 36 Division at Birch Run but was disqualified.  At first this seems unlikely to be our perp but on reconsideration, anything is possible.  The intel we have depicts a woman not afraid to push the envelop.  We do know there is a medical connection (surgical instruments no less) as well as a Canadian connection (after all her last known whereabouts was north of Canada’s Niagara peninsula).  We also speculate she secretly covets Canadian weather (this morning 27F and snowy in Traverse City, 40F and sunny in Calgary).

“The Shadow” was seen in the presence of The Sisterhood last fall so we know she has nefarious artistic connections.  However, she doesn’t appear to exploit them.  She was seen observing “Quickdraw” Jurick closely and using her tabletop easel and assorted implements to render her vision into reality BUT to what purpose?  No visible sign of this vision has been discovered.  Has she turned to the underground scene or is she working under an alias?  This is truly a mystery and we need your help in tracking down this elusive woman!
